Wednesday 15th
Suzanne flew back to Chicago….very sad. It was so wonderful
to have her along! She was such a huge help with the girls
and fun to share this experience with. After she left we
took the girls to an amazing photography studio in Chang
Sha. They dressed the girls in traditional Chinese outfits
and took darling photos. Mia was fine as long as she was
clinging to Brad so we ended up just taking photos of
Caroline and Sarah. They had 10 employees helping the
girls. Quite a production! They had a make-up lady, a hair
person, people for wardrobe changes, and 4 people to make
them smile and give them props. For both girls they each
did hairstyle and clothing changes.
We ordered the photos and this arrived the next evening in
several board book style photo albums. 4 of the staff came
to bring the photos. They played with the girls and were so
sweet with them. The woman in charge said “thank you for
giving these girls a family to love them…their lives would
be so different if they stayed here”. I told her it was a
mutual blessing and we could not be more in love with them.
